Eat fresh, whole foods from the earth, unprocessed and unrefined, most of the time, and enjoy guiltless indulgences once in a while.
I believe that a healthy diet is based on eating mostly fresh, seasonal, unprocessed, unrefined, non-GMO, nutrient-rich foods in their most natural state.
Whole foods from the earth that humans are meant to eat.
Foods that have a positive impact on our energy levels, blood sugar, mental clarity, digestion, immunity, and overall health.
So my food philosophy is:
"Eat fresh, whole foods from the earth, unprocessed and unrefined, most of the time, and enjoy guiltless indulgences once in a while."
The bottom line is—eat mostly real food!
- I believe that real food is medicine, and vibrant health is an expression of self-love that starts in the kitchen.
- I believe that kitchen skills can save your life, because nothing influences your health more than the foods you eat and how you prepare them.
- I believe that preparing and eating vegetables and fruits can be fun, therapeutic, and healing.
- I believe in eating foods that are bursting with flavor, satisfy your taste buds, and make you feel good not only while eating them—but hours and days later.
- I believe that what you eat today literally becomes your physical body tomorrow.
But as much as I love farmer’s markets, superfoods, and making meals from scratch, I also occasionally enjoy a chilled glass of rosé with brie; an authentic Mexican tamale dinner; or some beautifully decorated holiday cookies—without the guilt—because I'm a fun person and I enjoy life!
Food is more than just nourishment for our bodies.
Food is a part of our culture and who we are.
Food is a form of nostalgia, ritual, communion, and connection—and we must be respectful of that.
Food gives us life and is meant to be enjoyed, shared, and celebrated.
One of life’s greatest pleasures is sitting down to a beautiful, bountiful table and eating a delectable meal with family and friends. It's all about appreciating the moment, savoring the experience, creating lasting memories—and thoroughly enjoying your beautiful, delicious life!
So, food not only nourishes our bodies, but it also nourishes our hearts and souls—unlike anything else.
But we must be clear that food itself is not love.
Food is a true expression of love—from the giver to the receiver.
And it's the experience of that offering that holds all the magic.
